Eligibility
To be eligible for a grant from the Beckley Area Foundation, applicants
must be a non-profit organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, or they must be a public
institution. As a Community Foundation, BAF cannot accept requests on behalf of individuals or groups that do not have official
recognition as a non-profit charity or public entity. Programs funded through this annual community grant application
process must be located in Raleigh County, WV. Donors could create unrestricted endowments at BAF for other specific geographic
regions in our service area and specify their own distribution guidelines. Funds have been established for Webster,
Wyoming, McDowell counties and the Greater Mt. Hope area. Grants are made for one year only. Do not ask for multi-year
commitments. Applications must be postmarked or hand delivered by the deadline.
